Pub Crawl?

Was planning to go on a pub crawl of the bars on W. Division st (Gold Coast area) on Wednesday night, if anyone is interested in joining.

Will be using the webapp Drunken Stumble to navigate between bars (www.drunkenstumble.in) (built in Drupal 7!)

Will meet at Sheraton lobby around 8:00pm, then a short walk to the red line, followed by a short ride on the red line.

Group beer excursion II

After a successful excursion Monday to Hopleaf, I'm planning on venturing again to Goose Island Clybourn on Wednesday evening. Let's meet in the Sheraton lobby around 6:30 (we'll wait a bit for slow elevators) and we'll take the train up there for some dinner and beers.

Group beer excursions

I'm flying solo at this conference and new to the drupal community, but I love beer. Does anyone want to make any group excusions to some of the great beer destinations in Chicago? I'd especially like to visit the Hop Leaf and Goose Island Wyrigleyville, perhaps Monday and Wednesday night, respectively. Post if you're interested and we can plan a time to meet / depart.

Monday night Basketball?

I have one extra ticket to the Bulls game on Monday night. Originally I bought two tickets as it's always more fun to go to a game with someone.
Currently I have an extra ticket which I am happy to give away to an interesting Drupaller who'd like to take in a game - maybe talk biz-ops but generally just get out and check out a game.

So - post why I should give you the ticket and take you to the game, and I'll pick the most interesting person and we'll have a blast!

The game is Monday night vs New Orleans. Should be great!

If it goes as usual when drupalista's goes to a hockey game the home team will loose big ;)

NPR Wait Wait Dont Tell Me, taping Thursday Night at the Chase Auditorium

My wife and I love the NPR news quizshow Wait Wait Don't Tell Me which is taped/broadcast live from the Chase Auditorium in Chicago. We have tickets for the Thursday night taping (check in at 6:30 doors open at 7:00pm)
Its a lot of fun.
Tickets are 24.75 and sell out quickly (they will be gone by friday this week)
So please sign up and go It would be great to get a drupalcon group over there.

Here is background information on Billy Goat's, and directions from the Drupal Tower.

In the 1970s, Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago inspired a recurring Saturday Night Live skit. But for years before that, Billy Goat's was the underground haunt of many Chicago politicians and celebrities, and served as the daily workplace of the legendary newspaper columnist Mike Royko.

Its always nice to see who else will attend and who of the community you will be able to meet. On previous Drupalcons there was always a public list of Attendees. The menu-item "Community" promises information about "Attendees" but unfortunately the attendees view seems to be not public as I suppose it is http://chicago2011.drupal.org/attendees, which gives "access denied".

Do you plan to make this information public?
