Blue Man Group

Ack! I purchased a non-refundable ticket to see the Blue Man Group on the 8th, but now I have a competing engagement for that night. If you're wanting to go, please do me a favor and grab mine from me -- if I don't get any takers, I'll just go an (darn it) have a good time anyway (though I'll be blowing off a work contact, and I'd rather not do that...).

Any tips regarding local design shops, record shops, local music scene? Which part of town are worth a night out? Guides are mentioning places like Wicker Park, Belmont, Pilsen, Division St and Clark St, for example, but it's hard to tell how current they are. Any favorites?

Any runners at DrupalCon?

Curious if there are any runners who will be at DrupalCon and looking for a running partner. I'm training for a marathon and hope to stay on track through the conference - probably by getting up and out early most mornings. My target pace is a 7:30 mile (8 MPH), but at this point, just getting the miles in is most important, so I'd be happy running slower with company or chasing a faster runner for a shorter run. My target is to do 4-6 miles on four days and try for one 12-miler, weather permitting. Sounds like Lake Shore Park is the place to do it.

I was just reading the email update and am excited to hear there will be pinball there. Anyone know what machines will be there? (I assume Stern) Are there other pinball machines in the walkable area? Maybe on Navy Pier?

I've been looking for a map with interesting locations (gathered in one place) and I couldn't find one, so I've created a custom map that can help you get around during DrupalCon.

I've added 2 major airports (O'Hare and Midway), Sheraton Hotel (Drupal Tower), Gleacher Center (pre-training sessions), Field Musem (opening night party), and some food & drink locations mentioned in this forum.
