Are kids allowed to attend the Party at Field Musuem?

My husband is attending the conference. We are coming along and we have children ages 4 & 3 and we wanted to all come to the opening party. So we were wondering if the kids could come with us? Or if there is child care for those wanting to attend without the kids?

I seem to recall something regarding the possibility of child care during the conference. I'd love to bring my 5 year old to see Chicago and hang out, but expecting her to sit through sessions is a little much. Are any of the organizers working on child care, or is anyone else thinking the way I am?

Dress code for the after party

At this point I haven't seen anything posted about what the proper dress code for the opening day after party. If anyone has any information on this subject it would be great to hear from you. Looking forward to meeting other Drupalganger in March.

Drupalganger tour - Shedd Aquarium and/or Chicago Flower Show

I'm going to be visiting Chicago w/ my husband, who's attending the sessions. I'm interested in forming a group to see some of the local attractions during the day while the attendees will be busy. I'm definitely interested in visiting the Shedd Aquarium. I also found out that the Chicago Flower Show is from March 5-13 at Navy Pier. Also there are free guided tours of different areas of the city that can be arranged from www.chicagogreeter.com. Please reply or contact me if you are interested.

My wife will be tagging along to enjoy chicago. This is the last year of Oprah, and she wants to go. So I am posting here in hopes of creating a gaggle of non drupalcon to perhaps go with and create an outing. I believe tickets are free its just the logistics.
