Beginner Next release of Drupal will be out soon. More and more people will start to use it in production, when D7 gets into stable (or even before that). But how to decide? Should one start using D7 immediately or stay on D6 for some more time? What are the differences and how are they reflected in practice? What are the advantages of using D7? What are the challenges and how to overcome them?
We will take a look at some projects that were developed on D7, see which were the biggest problems and how were they solved. We will also take a look at the most popular modules and see in which stage is their port to Drupal 7.
Session will be practically oriented. The main purpose is to give practical advice for people planning to use Drupal 7 in production.
Intended audience:
Session is intended to developers, project managers, site owners, ... that are thinking about using Drupal 7, but do not have enough information to make their final decision. People that have not used Drupal 7 before, but want to know what to expect when doing so.
