Dave Jilk will discuss “the cloud” as it relates to Drupal deployments – from overall strengths and shortcomings of cloud hosting, to avoiding lock-in with cloud services. As well, he’ll dive into the technical aspects of site scaling in the cloud and discuss what should be done differently in a Drupal cloud deployment, which will include optimization for performance and portability.

Dave is a technologist and software/Internet entrepreneur based in Boulder, Colorado. He has a degree in Computer Science from MIT and has been founder or co-founder of six startup companies, and CEO of two others. He has also worked on the investor side as a technical due diligence consultant and an associate at a venture capital firm. Dave has also served on a number of economic development advisory boards, and occasionally participates in startup seed financings.
