Drupal for the K-12 Environment - How We Migrated 16 District Websites!

Track:
Implementation and Config
Experience:
Beginner

Join us as we share how Tri-County Computer Services Association, an Information Technology Center in central Ohio, moved 16 school districts to Drupal by building a framework with modules that met the unique needs of K-12 districts, migrated their data from their existing website, gave them video streaming capabilities through Kaltura CE, and dynamic calendaring.

Though Drupal is a wildfire in the business and collegiate world, it has been dancing on the fringe of the K-12 world mostly because school districts didn't seem to have a good market model to follow.

Not only will we share how we did it, but we will give you the best practices and lessons learned from our trial by fire.

Intended audience:

Small Colleges and Universities
Drupal Themers and Coders
Drupal Shops Looking To Break Into the K-12 Market
