Overview
The world is going mobile. Whether on smart phones or tablets, wifi or 3G, more and more people are carrying the web around in their pockets, backpacks, briefcases, and purses.

Anyone who has browsed the internet on their phone, for example, knows the frustrations that often arise from websites that were never intended for the small, or more specifically the touch, screen.

This session will explore not only some basic mobile design considerations, but also ways to infuse the mobile world with the power of Drupal.

    • The good, the bad, and the ugly (real world examples)

Intended audience:

While this presentation will focus primarily on the user experience of the mobile web, that experience is shaped by the work of designers, developers, and project managers involved in the process.

How does the mobile audience differ from the traditional web audience?
Question 2:
How can the mobile version of your site provide a better experience than your full design in a mobile browser?
Question 3:
Where are the boundaries between website, web app, hybrid app, and native app?
Question 4:
What tools currently exist to make developing a mobile friendly site easier from both a Drupal (e.g. mobile themes, automatic theme switching, etc.) and a more general (e.g. testing mobile themes without owning every device on the market) standpoint?
