Panel: Mad Skillz. What's on your resume?

Track:
Coder
Experience:
Beginner

Even in this tough economy, there are more jobs for expert Drupal developers than there are developers. Want to be a rising Drupal star? Which mad skillz get you sought after, fought over, and hired by Drupal shops? What’s important to get onto your resume and what’s not? What kind of experience should you seek? The answers may surprise you!

This panel will create a basic list of skillz and suggest how to acquire them. We’ll also define the “je ne sais quoi” that is (perhaps) as important as Drupal know-how. You’ll find out why a few recent hires were chosen over others that applied and what currently-hiring top shops are looking for in a developer.

Intended audience:

Drupal themers and developers who are interested in building their skillset and/or being hired by Drupal shops and companies running big Drupal sites. Also, product owners who want to know what skillset they should be looking for - and what can be learned on the job.
