Intermediate Pantheon is a best practice, cloud based platform for developing, hosting, and managing Drupal websites created by David Strauss, Josh Koenig, Zack Rosen, and Matt Cheney. We took our hard-won development experience working on projects at Chapter Three and Four Kitchens, mixed in the open-source "magic" of advanced enterprise development techniques, and made it all ubiquitously and inexpensively available on our Cloud computing platform.
Pantheon is a new venture designed to solve some of the hardest problems of Drupal and make it available to the developer community. We allow easy importing of existing sites, automatic speed optimizations using our industry leading high performance stack, a git-based development to test to live workflow, Apache Solr search, automatic core and contrib updates, selenium and simpletest unit testing, one click site backups and restoration, industry leading site security, and we are just getting started.
