kristin boden-mackay, principal, technologist, photographer holds dual bachelor of science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Santa Clara University. Eighteen years in technology - from R&D to first (and only) webmaster for Nike, building nike.com from a single splash page to a global brand & eCommerce powerhouse, Kristin’s expertise in web technologies started early -back in her R&D days in higher education and the non-profit sector, she built some of the very first web servers, even before the internet was, well, public (anybody who knows what gopher://gopher.somewhere.edu means has worked in the web space as long as she has). She understands the implications of Sputnick and the space-race (ARPA net and the birth of the internet) and counts Tim Berners Lee, Einstein, Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs and Bill Bowerman among her heroes. She loves mathematics, cameras, computers & music. And on a sunny day, if you listen, you'll hear her driving by in her '02 Firebird TransAm with the top dropped, music trailing, and the smoke? That's just her tires grabbing onto the road to move her to her next destination.
