I expect to host a BoF group for Drupalistas who are interested in discussing implementation, performance, and innovation topics with regard to Drupal database and storage.
I am a 25-year veteran of Oracle products, an 18-year Open Source evangelist, and like to keep my ear to the wall of the various RDBMS vendors and communities that shill MySQL/MariaDB (and its various storage engines), PostgreSQL, Firebird, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and, oh, what the hell, let's throw in some MongoDB and other NoSQL engines in there just to watch the sparks fly!
I'm currently acutely interested in eeking out Drupal performance gains by switching out database or storage engines, and am ready to solicit partners for a presentation on Drupal+databases for next year's North American conference.
Please let me know if there's interest out there! THANKS!
