OpenCoffee BoF for Entrepreneurs, Developers, and Investors

"The OpenCoffee Club was started to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise real-world informal meetups to chat, network and grow."

I went to an OpenCoffee meetup a couple of weeks ago here in Brightoncisco, it was great to chat to others like myself who are trying to grow businesses and to those who have already been there.

Up until now I have mostly worked with other freelancers but I am looking to employ my first fulltime person and would love to grow a team so I can do even more Drupal, help train others up, and hopefully make some cool Drupal distros too.

Doing this self-funded is proving a slow process, it's tough doing *everything* and would be great to connect with others who've grown a small team, who are looking to, or have invested in something similar and can perhaps pass on some experience.

I think OpenCoffee would make a great addition to Drupalcon!

For products too...

Just to clarify my example above is just my current situation, OpenCoffee is for any kind of startup, whether it's a product or service offering.

I was tricked by the title -

I was tricked by the title - thinking it had to do with 'drupal for open coffee groups' versus 'open coffee style BoF'.

I co-organise an open coffee here in Sligo, Ireland. I love the format.

Yours sounds like a good idea- a BoF for Drupal start ups.

Thing I like about open coffee is that it can accommodate the really really early stage (from inspiration spark to expression of the idea); rather than other business networks for those who are established. This would be a great time for people to get some business advice. Hopefully folks with more experience would come and join.

Cool idea!
