Chicago

I was just reading the email update and am excited to hear there will be pinball there. Anyone know what machines will be there? (I assume Stern) Are there other pinball machines in the walkable area? Maybe on Navy Pier?

Drupal Arcade selections

Everything is still subject to change up until the start of DrupalCon, but here's what we currently think will be available in the Drupal Arcade:

Dracula Pinball (I think this is the Williams title from the 1990s, not the classic Stern title)
Mortal Kombat 2
Arcade Classics collection
PS3 with Rock Band
Wii with Boom Blox
Air Hockey
Foosball

As far as pinball places in Chicago, I'm not an expert, but I'm not immediately aware of any either at Navy Pier or downtown. There are a few places on the North Side you may want to check out (Waveland Bowl on Western comes to mind).

Williams Dracula is an excellent game. Thanks for your efforts.

Pinball is hard to find in most cities these days. As Chicago is the home to pinball and Stern the last remaining pinball manufacturer, I was hoping maybe they were in on the action. Seems like a good market for them.

Pinball Rebel has a few listed in the downtown area on its map, but you never know the accuracy of the info or working conditions of the pins.

There used to be a really good arcade at Navy Pier but it is long gone. Unfortunately the only real places to find pinball in Chicago anymore is at bars, and those are really a crap shoot in terms of game condition and quality. You'll just have to get your fill of Mist Multiball at the show :)
