Session Videos on Archive.org

First, for those who do not know, many of the session videos have been posted on archive.org, search for drupalcon chicago.

Next some of my review and comments about the session videos:
Overall, the videos are ok. I, for one, like just capturing the presentation video & session audio. The presentation slides and audio are the most important part.
I agree it might be nice & more entertaining to actually see the presenters, but IMO, the extra effort and cost is not worth it. It is more important to record the 'meat.'

The resolution/quality of the video is lacking. Many presentations show code text which is extremely blurry on the video.

Lastly, on some sessions, the audio is EXTREMELY noisy. Sounds like a really nasty 60Hz hum & buzz caused by a ground loop in the audio circuit. Case in point: http://www.archive.org/details/drupalconchi_day2_git_on_drupalorg
This is simply unacceptable. This did not occur on all sessions, perhaps it was only one conference room.

Also, presenters should be

Also, presenters should be aware that the session is being recorded.
Questions & Comments from the audience should ALWAYS be repeated by the presenters so that it is properly recorded.
This is also good practice to ensure that all audience members also hear the questions and comments.

I couldn't make it to

I couldn't make it to Chicago, thanks for putting the sessions up!

First of all, thank you so

First of all, thank you so much to everyone involved in video recording, processing and uploading. It's a great help for everyone around the world.

Second, for those searching for the videos on this site, you can find them using this link: Videos from Drupalcon Chicago

And third, I agree with just recording the slides and the voice. Much more useful than recording just the presenter. Ideally you'd have a small square on the bottom to see the presenter, but I agree it takes twice the effort to record that, and even more to edit all the videos in like that, and process them. Not worth wasting the little free time people doing this have.

About the sound issues, yup, it's a shame, but at least you can still watch them =)
