Sponsored by Tropo, the Module Writing Contest will provide contestants with the opportunity to win fabulous prizes for the best new module written on the topic of Communication. A panel of guest judges will evaluate the results, with the winners announced on Wednesday.

2nd Place - Kindle, $100 Tropo Credit
3rd Place - iPod shuffle, $50 Tropo Credit
The Challenge
The theme of the contest will be Communication. Contestants will be asked to create a module. The person with the best module wins!
Judging
Winners will be selected by a panel of Drupal community members that will be selected before the event. The judges will grade entries using the following criteria:
- Novelty - Does this functionality exist elsewhere, should it?
- Craftsmanship - Quality of code/work in general
- Functionality - how well does it work?
- Utility - General utility and importance of output
- Rockability - Wow factor
The judges shall have the sole authority and discretion to select the award recipient(s).
Notification
The judging will take place on Wednesday during lunch. The winners will be notified from the Day Stage.
Rules:
To participate in the Drupalcon Programming Contest (the "Contest"), you must be at least 13 years old. The Contest is open to individuals only. Void where prohibited.
Each entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold Drupalcon harmless from any third party claims arising from or related to that entrant's participation in the Contest. In no event shall Drupalcon be liable to an entrant for acts or omissions arising out of or related to the Contest or that entrant's participation in the Contest.
All code produced at this event will adhere to GNU GPL 2.0. Entrants must disclose if any of the code existed before the event’s announcement and to what end. Entries may not be established projects.
Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of entries received. No prize substitution is permitted. Winner(s) may be required to verify their entry.
Requirements:
- Participants do not need to be present at the time of the contest announcement to participate, but they must be present for Wednesday’s judging to win.

The rules say module written
The rules say module written on a topic to be announced during this session. With all the noise in the Exhibit Hall, I couldn't hear that that topic was. Does anyone have more information on this?
edit: I've been told on IRC that the topic was communication.
