Here at DrupalCon headquarters, we’ve been delighted and overwhelmed with the number of folks registering to attend DrupalCon Chicago. As you can see from our registration graph, the number of people registering to attend has skyrocketed since the release of Drupal 7, and in the last few days, the all-time record for most DrupalCon registrations in a single day was shattered twice in a row!
DrupalCon Chicago is shaping up to be an awesome event, with attendees from all corners of the world representing dozens of industries and professions. It will be a place where designers, developers, project managers, businesspeople, and others will come together, share information, and learn from some of the brightest minds in the Drupal community and beyond.
In light of this tremendous response, we have decided to extend the Early Bird Registration deadline one week in order to accommodate everyone who wants to attend. A lot of folks have contacted us this week letting us know that they needed more time to complete paperwork necessary for them to attend, and we wanted to make sure everyone the opportunity to register at the Early Bird price. We ask those who have contacted us to be patient; we are working to fulfill customer service requests as quickly as possible.
If you have not yet registered to attend DrupalCon Chicago yet, you now have until January 21 to purchase your ticket at the Early Bird price. Some rooms in the Drupal Tower are still available, but we do anticipate selling out the hotel on at least some of the conference days, so don’t forget to reserve your room as well.
We also want to remind folks about the pre-conference training sessions, which also only have limited capacity. These sessions are a great way to gain in-depth knowledge and get up-to-speed with Drupal 7 before the main conference starts.
We hope to see you here in Chicago this March 7-10!
