In 15 years old I had made simple web engine using Perl. In the last year of university I had created content management system and then I found that it was too difficult to maintain it. In 2008 I started to use Drupal for my projects and it was awesome. I am maintainer of several Drupal modules and themes. Something I can say about Open Source: "you share a little, you get a lot" - this quote was included by Dries Buytaert to his keynote on DrupalCon Chicago 2011.
